TXM volunteers at the food bank

Deeply rooted in our culture is a tradition of giving back. Texas Mutual employees carry this tradition forward by volunteering with the Central Texas Food Bank, one of our nonprofit partners. Every fourth Thursday of the month, our employees staff and manage Central Texas Food Bank’s largest mobile pantry. With Thanksgiving on November 28, our employees stepped in to volunteer on a Monday morning to help families in need.

From unloading food and tables from the truck to passing out food and carrying them to clients’ cars, our volunteers helped distribute over 17,000 pounds of food. Senator John Cornyn stopped by the mobile pantry to help pass out food to Central Texans and show his support for strengthening our communities.

Over 350 families received food and were grateful for Texas Mutual’s commitment of giving back through the mobile pantry. We’re proud to lend a helping hand to our neighbors and make our community a better place to live, as part of our TXM for Texas community affairs program. When our employees carry our mission into the community, we can improve people’s lives for a stronger Texas.
