Texas Mutual Insurance Company - Providers of Workers' Comp Insurance

One Wrong Move Can Cost You

Workplace accidents are a pain. One wrong move on the job, and you could be sitting on the sidelines while your friends go on dates, hang out at the mall, make the team and walk across the stage on graduation day.

Texas Mutual Insurance Company is here to help you stay safe at work this summer. You can help us by following these tips.

Get the right information

Staying safe on the job starts with information:

  • Get the proper training
  • Use safety equipment, and follow directions
  • Ask questions
  • Don't take chances – if it doesn't feel right, STOP and ask
  • Focus on your job tasks
  • Know your employer's emergency plan
  • Identify potential hazards, and know what to do before you go to work

Check for hazards

Before you start work, check your workplace for these potential hazards:

  • Violent crime
  • Roughhousing employees
  • Chemicals or materials that may cause allergic reactions
  • Equipment or tasks that could cause repetitive motion injuries
  • Supervisors, co-workers or customers who act in a harassing manner

Know your rights
