Assessment recognizes Texas Mutual’s commitment to injured workers

Suffering an on-the-job injury can be confusing and challenging. At Texas Mutual, we are committed to our role in serving injured employees with dependable and compassionate care. While 2020 presented its own unique challenges, our commitment remained steadfast. For the sixth time, Texas Mutual is recognized as a High Performing Carrier by the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) for our exceptional work.

Every two years, DWC conducts a Performance Based Oversight assessment of workers’ compensation carriers in the state. It specifically looks at measuring timeliness of income benefits paid to injured workers, timeliness of payments to medical providers who treat our injured workers and timeliness of reporting that information to the regulator.

Texas Mutual received an overall score of 95.6 for all five measures in the assessment. We’re proud to share these results, which illustrate the importance of our commitment to caring for hard-working Texans. Our high performer status provides peace of mind to employers who count on Texas Mutual to provide their employees with exceptional service in the event of a workplace injury.
