DOL proposes farming rule, hand safety webinar and more
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
The DOL proposed a new rule to strengthen protections for H-2A temporary agricultural employees. New protections would include expansions to how employees can self-advocate for better working and living conditions, clarifications about terminations and recruitment, more predictable wages and improved access to transportation safety, such as seat belt requirements. Once this proposal is published in the Federal Register, the public comment period will be open for 60 days.
