Texas Mutual invests $1.3M in United Way of Greater Houston

Through our more than 200 community partnerships across the state, we’re able to help create lasting change. We’re grateful for longstanding partners like United Way who share in our mission of building stronger, safer and more resilient communities. We’re excited to announce our $1.3 million investment in United Way of Greater Houston that will help families access the resources needed to achieve economic stability and support disaster preparedness in the Houston community.

Our investment will support three key initiatives:

  1. Navigators: These guides help families and individuals find their path to financial stability.
  2. The Greater Houston Disaster Alliance: This program improves disaster preparedness and provides help when disasters strike.
  3. Bright Beginnings: This early childhood education program offers quality child care to about 1,000 children from low-to-moderate-income families each year.

These programs align with our goals to help working families across Texas become more stable and resilient. We seek to invest in projects that will have a positive impact for generations to come.

Our focus areas include:

  • Improving health and wellness for Texas employees and their families
  • Strengthening the early childhood education system
  • Providing holistic support to ensure families have the resources they need to seize opportunities and achieve financial stability

Through this partnership, we’re reinforcing our shared commitment with United Way of Greater Houston to empower working families and foster a future where every member of the Greater Houston community has the opportunity to thrive. This investment is just one more way we're working to create a better future for all Texans.
