Texas Mutual and Primrose partner to expand child care

Texas Mutual and Primrose School of Austin at Mueller recently announced a partnership to enhance access to early childhood education for working families in Austin. The partnership will include the construction of an expanded early childhood education space within Texas Mutual’s corporate building and child care scholarships for low-income families.

Texas Mutual has donated approximately 5,000 square feet within the first floor of our corporate building in Mueller to Primrose, allowing the school to expand its existing Mueller location. The expanded space will add 12 new classrooms and enable the school to serve nearly 300 students.

As part of the partnership, Primrose will be offering subsidized tuition for 20 students starting in 2024, with an agreement to increase the number of students each year. Families will need to apply for subsidized tuition offered through the state program and will be required to meet certain income criteria to qualify. At Texas Mutual, we’re committed to supporting working families and ensuring everyone has access to resources that help them succeed. This partnership is one way we’re closing the gap between families and affordable child care.
