Texas Mutual and Catellus commission Mueller neighborhood mural

Mural project request for qualifications

Texas Mutual and Catellus Development Corporation have partnered to commission a mural project in the Mueller neighborhood, which is home to Texas Mutual’s headquarters. A request for qualifications (RFQ) has been opened to invite interested artists of the Central Texas area to apply. The mural project, which we are gifting to the neighborhood in honor of our 30th anniversary, will include two murals on the west side of the Branch Park Pavilion.

The RFQ is now open and will close to applicants at 11:59 p.m. on October 20. Interested artists or artist teams must be local residents of Central Texas and must have completed professional mural work previously. Following interviews of selected finalists in November, the contract will be awarded in Q1 of 2024 and installation is scheduled for summer 2024.

Branch Park Pavilion, which is located directly across from our headquarters, is a state-of-the-art event space frequently used for weddings, corporate events and various other private events. The pavilion sits within Branch Park, a community park on 3.5 acres that includes amenities such as water features, a kids’ playscape, volleyball courts and a dog run.
